This week saw Hillcrest Shifnal School take part in Red Nose Day for Comic Relief and I think it’s safe to say fun was had by all…students and staff! We kicked off with a penalty shootout challenge, it was a hard fought competition from all participants and the lucky winners were proud of their success, especially when they received a sweet prize. The shootout bought a real sense of cohesion amongst the students demonstrating tremendous sportsmanship and encouragement for one another. Not happy to settle for one challenge we decided to do a whole school sponsored row and run of 75,000 metres during the school day. Staff and students volunteered to get their heart rates going and it was impressive to see everyone’s commitment to getting the task done, there was some red faces by the end. It was essential to keep everyone fuelled with energy, so Tina and Emma were on hand to bake some goodies to sell which helped contribute to the £93 that was raised for Comic Relief. A fantastic day of fun for a fantastic cause!
